Tlingit/Aleut multi-instrumentalist Nicholas Galanin from Sitka, Alaska is also known as Silver Jackson or Indian Nick. Both a recording artist and visual artist, he runs the record label Home Skillet Records along with the Home Skillet festival. Three years in the making, Galanin’s latest album “Starry Skies Opened Eyes” features an inventive blend of acoustic and electronic elements. The project was inspired by a near-death experience and new-found perspectives on life.
