This week, we’re giving thanks to all those fighting on the front lines – the water protectors, activists, and ambassadors of culture who unify to protect the earth and the Indigenous people. A lot of great music over the years has expressed the resistance and fight for our communities. To support that message, we’ll hear songs by Taboo, Raye Zaragoza, Nahko and Medicine for the People, Stuart James, and Thomas X written in response to Standing Rock. We’ll also hear songs by a variety of artists about Indigenous identity and carrying tradition from generation to generation. We show our gratitude as we continue to serve as a platform for native artists who share their powerful message.
