Calina Lawrence is a Suquamish vocalist and MC from Washington state. Growing up on the Port Madison Indian Reservation, she took Coast Salish canoe journeys every year, with the music of her culture at the beginning of her path as an artist. As a foster kid, Calina credits her spirituality and the support of her community for getting her through hard times and helping her develop her fierce ambition. Now based out of San Francisco, Calina travels all around not only to sing, rap, and perform spoken word, but also to support protest and advocacy movements such as the “Water is Life” movement at Standing Rock and “Times Up”, addressing violence against women. Her debut album Epicenter was released in 2018, exemplifying her soulful voice and passion for uplifting younger generations.
