Choctaw musician Mela Lee is the front woman of the Los Angeles based band Magnolia Memoir. The band was born out of Mela’s journey to learn more about her late father and her Native heritage. Her five octave vocal range accompanies the cinematic alt-rock style of the group’s creative arrangements. Mela shares with us music from the band’s third release, Pale Fire, an expression of hope and healing in the face of personal struggle.
