Tahltan and Dene from Fort Nelson, British Columbia, Jasmine Netsena is a singer/songwriter whose music balances an American southern style with her northern upbringing. After many years in the making, her debut record “Take You With Me” won for “Best Folk/Acoustic CD” at the Aboriginal Peoples’ Choice Music Awards last year. We discuss how the album explores themes of travel and childhood, following in the country/folk tradition of telling stories through song.
