Official SXSW 2014 Showcasing Artist “Sihasin” is the new musical project from siblings Clayson and Jeneda Benally of the band Blackfire. Sihasin is a Navajo word for hope and assurance, a meaning that comes alive in the duo’s energetic music. Taking from folk, rock, punk, and world music genres, their powerful rhythms, vocal harmonies, and Navajo singing speak to the resistance for environmental and social injustices. Sihasin won for “Debut Group of the Year” at the 15th Annual Native American Music Awards.
